The hunters did not understand the hand signals and relied solely on what was said with the word.

The fox, seeing them leave, left without saying anything.

The woodcutter reproached him for why despite having saved her, he did not thank him, to which the fox replied:

-I would have thanked you if your hands and your mouth had said the same.

Moral: Do not deny with your actions, what you proclaim with your words.
